Tara Mei Smith of Extra Terrestrial Projects leads a program in Sian Ka’an Bioreserve which means “origin of sky” as named by the Mayans. We visit a Xlahpak temple- a Mayan ruin known as “The Watch of the Lake,” and perform a special meditation and carbon dioxide monitoring workshop. About 50% of Mexico's yearly carbon emission is stored in the roots of the mangroves here.
