Joseph Magliaro's drawing workshop invited participants to engage with Robert Smithson's concept of the "non-site" through a one-hour session of drawing and discussion. By employing "dedifferentiated" attention—a fusion of individual and landscape—the workshop sought to create a deeper connection to the space. Referencing Smithson’s "Incidents of Mirror-Travel in Yucatan," participants explored the reflective nature of the site through a drawing session that featured a mirror installed on-site. Shodo-inspired drawing methods were used to encourage participants to blur distinctions between figure and ground, fostering a non-place of reflection.
