Aqueduct or Decorated Shed is a group exhibition that delves into the complex relationship between land, culture, and water, inspired by architectural concepts from Robert Venturi’s "Learning from Las Vegas." Featuring works by Sean Connelly, Sayler Morris, and Nanea Lum, the exhibition contrasts Native Hawaiian and settler colonial perspectives on ecological stewardship, emphasizing the significance of watersheds and land division. The artists utilize diverse media—photography, video, installation, and sculpture—to reflect on human intervention, Indigenous futures, and cultural memory. Jon Santos’s curation weaves these narratives into a cohesive dialogue, examining the impact of architecture, identity, and environment on collective understanding of place and heritage.
