Tamar Halpern is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores identity, gender, and cultural experience through fragmented images, texts, and materials. Born in Los Angeles, Halpern has lived in diverse locations including California, New Mexico, Israel, and New York City, with frequent travels that inspire their practice. They earned a BFA from the College of Santa Fe and an MFA from Columbia University. Halpern's work has been exhibited internationally, reflecting their experience of transition and cultural immersion. Currently based in New York City, Halpern integrates their personal journey into their artistic practice.
