AYDO (Ayoung Yu & Nicholas Oh)

Ayoung Yu is a Korean-American artist working in performance-based film. Her work reimagines precolonial Korean spiritual practices through a diasporic lens, generating ritual choreographies that speak to care, migration, and ancestral memory. Often performed in charged landscapes—from the Korean DMZ to American swamps—her films document gestures of burial, transformation, and embodied connection across time and space.

Nicholas Oh is a multidisciplinary artist whose ceramic installations investigate diasporic narratives, imperial histories, and cultural memory. Reworking traditional forms and artifacts, Oh explores how objects carry the residues of colonial trade and migration. His work has been exhibited at institutions including the Museum of Art and Design, RISD Museum, and Cantor Arts Center. He holds an MFA from RISD and currently teaches at Bennington College.
