The film "Ulu Kupu" (2022), directed by Tiare Ribeaux and Jody Stillwater, captures Native Hawaiian artist Nanea Lum’s ceremonial process of creating "earth paintings" through interactions with the water system of Mānoa. Screening at Neuehouse Madison Square, this film provides insight into Lum’s ritual-based artistic practice, highlighting her emphasis on Indigenous knowledge and the natural environment as integral components of her work.
