Kathleen Kim

Kathleen Kim is a Los Angeles–based experimental violinist and composer who works with extended technique, voice, and improvisation to create musical abstractions that move between structure and dissonance. A founding member of the Chinatown LA collective Human Resources, she also performs in the avant-jazz ensemble LA Fog and the duo SheKhan. At Ontopo's 2018 Catskill Zendo retreat Memory Palace, she performed an experimental music work and led a discussion on social justice and art with Helga Fassonaki.
